With a shared vision and a dedicated community, Rébublik Nature is ready to offer unforgettable experiences all year round, while remaining deeply rooted in its mission to connect people with nature.
Since its creation in 1969, Mont Farlagne has been a prized destination for winter sports enthusiasts in northwestern New Brunswick. Over the decades, this ski resort has become a regional center, expanding its slopes, facilities, and activities to welcome visitors from all over New Brunswick, Bas-Saint-Laurent (QC), and northern Maine.
In recent years, Mont Farlagne has taken a passionate step forward by merging with Les Sentiers Madawaska under a single administrative structure to create Rébublik Nature. This new cooperative model with non-profit status guarantees that the mountain truly belongs to its members, allowing the community to shape its future while preserving its rich heritage.
Mont Farlagne remains the heart of Rébublik Nature—a local hub dedicated to alpine skiing, snowboarding, tube sliding, snowshoeing, and fat biking. Its natural beauty and vibrant energy continue to attract enthusiasts of all ages. Our new brand image is set in a breathtaking natural setting, offering diversified activities and a strong community spirit that defines us.
Our partners
As a non-profit organization, Rébublik Nature also collaborates with partners such as CADS, the Canadian Ski Patrol, and other non-profit organizations to ensure inclusivity and safety. This reorganization strengthens our commitment to improving the mountain’s infrastructure and restoring our status as an essential outdoor destination in the region.
1969
Established in early 1969 under the direction of Edmundston Ski Ltd., Mont Farlagne has since become a pillar of winter sports in northwestern New Brunswick. Initial development began in the fall of 1968, following a community fundraising campaign, and included four ski slopes: Family, Rice, Casse-Cou, and Fraser—the latter being equipped for night skiing.

1969-2004
Over the years, Mont Farlagne expanded its offerings to include around 20 slopes, five mechanical lifts, and new postmodern-style buildings, with convenient amenities such as a bar, a ski shop, and a cafeteria.
This growth solidified its status as one of Edmundston’s flagship sports facilities, contributing significantly to the tourism industry and the local economy.
