Health & Safety

At Républik Nature, safety and respect for the environment are at the heart of our mission. By accessing our ski, biking and hiking trails, you agree to abide by the following rules.

Winter – Skiing, snowboarding & sliding at Mont-Farlagne

1. Master Your Speed

You must always remain in control of your movements.

2. Yield the Right of Way

Downhill users have priority. It is your responsibility to avoid others.

3. Stop Only in Safe Places

Never stop in a narrow or invisible spot.

4. Look Uphill Before Starting Again

When resuming a descent or entering a trail, ensure the area is clear.

5. Use Safe Equipment

Your skis or boards must have appropriate retention devices.

6. Respect Signs and Closures

Do not enter a closed trail, regardless of conditions.

7. Stay Sober

Alcohol or drugs have no place on the slopes.

8. In Case of Accident, Identify Yourself

Anyone involved must remain on site and exchange information.

Plan your visit

To help you prepare for your visit, we allow you to check the status of the trails live. We also invite you to read the rules and regulations, and suggest nearby accommodation solutions.

Summer – Mountain biking & hiking in the Madawaska Trails

1. Stay on Marked Trails

Protect nature and prevent erosion by sticking to designated paths.

2. Adjust Your Speed

Slow down in technical sections, near hikers, or around blind corners.

3. Communicate Clearly

Let others know you’re approaching: a simple “on your left” works great for safe passing.

4. Wear Appropriate Gear

Helmets are mandatory for all cyclists. Gloves and pads are also recommended.

5. Stay Within Your Limits

Dismount and walk your bike through sections too difficult for your skill level.

6. Respect All Users

Hikers always have the right of way over cyclists.

7. Do Not Ride on Closed Trails

This can compromise safety, maintenance, and the environment.

8. Report Any Damage or Hazards

Help us keep trails safe for everyone.

At all times

1. Respect Nature

Leave no trace. Pack out your trash.

2. Respect Volunteers and Staff

Their work makes your experience possible.

3. Pets are Permitted

If they are on a leash and you pick up after them.
